FOOD SUPPLIES IN AUSTRALIA
GOVERNMENT AND MEAT COMPANIES Brisbane, February 4. The meat companies have decided to give the Government tlicir utmost support in securing for the use of the Imperial Government and tho Allies Queensland's exportable supply of meat with tho least complications and at the lowest possible cost. [A previous message stated that, under tho provisions of tho Meat Supply Act, the Queensland Government, #at tho request of the Imperial authorities, had assumed control of all meat works. All meat exported will bo under Government control as regards prices and destination.]
