ADVICE OF AN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. By TeleeraDh—Frees Association—Coßyrieht Oamaru, February 3. To-day a deputation from the Oamaru Merchants' Association waited to confer with the A. and P. Committee re tho wheal shortage problem. Mr. W. H. Rose, for the merchants, advocated urging wheat-growers to plant greater areas not only for the benefit of the country but an act of patriotism. He quoted interesting statistics 'showing that North Otago had fallen off greatly in recent years in wheat production. The A. and P. Society unanimously decided to immediatelv circularise all wheat-growers in the district, urging them to plant much moro next- season.
