FROZEN MEAT IN WALES
Mr. H. Q. Hill, manager of the Bristol and Dominions Producer.-! 1 Association, Limited, has received the following letter from his head office in Bristol:—"We are sending you by this mail a photograph of our Cardiff depot. This was opened on September 18 in order to facilitate the distribution of frozen meat through South Wales. We found that existing channels and buying capacities for this area, were unsuitable, and decided to open our own depot, which, wo are pleased to say. has been/attended' by great success. This depot also controls a depot at Newport, Monmouthshire, which distributes New Zea. land meat throughout this oounty. It is controlled by our .own ,6taff. and wc -ell direct to the retail trade, also the smaller -wholesale buyers, and it has had the result of introducing New Zealand lamb and mutton particularly to many hundreds of butchers- in these districts which heretofore did not handle New Zealand meat. This trado is increasing, and it materially assists in thq ' effect of securing a i regular output for our meat, at the same time directly furthering the interests of our shareholders in New Zealand who consign their meat to our caro, and, in the-near future, it will enable us to gite better returns in respoct of prices, which wc trust will result lo -our mutual benefit."
