TECHNICAL BREACHES

LIQUOR IN NO-LICENSE DISTRICTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Pahiatua, January 28. Several cases in connection with liquor sent into the no-license district of Pongaroa were, before the Magistrate here, b.eing technical breaches. The defendants were a Makuri hotel-keeper, the driver of the Pa'hiatua-Pongaroa mail coach; and a Pongaroa store-keeper. The defendants stated- they were not aware of the provisions of the amending Act. In each case tne defendant was merely convicted. There were alter gether eight charges and some were adjourned.
