HUTT VALLEY TROTTING CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING HANDICAP WON BY CRANQGR. The annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Trotting" Club was held on the I Petone Recreation Ground yesterday, in beautifully line weather, and before a record attendance. In previous years the enclosure has proved too small fbr the club's' patrons, aiid yesterday the orowding was more noticeable than ever. There was again the usual rush at the totalisator before each event, and owing to _ the inadequate machine accommodation the programme was considerably delayed, the concluding event being almost an hour late in starting. During the day the sum of £8054 passed through the totalisator as compared with £6894 for lest year's fixture. The sport was full of interest, and many of the races were very keenly contested. After the decision of the Ladies' Bracelet, the trophies attached to the event were presented by the club's president (Mr. A. M. Samuel), and cheers were given for horses, owners, ana riders.
