PAHIATUA SHOW

Entries for the Pahiatua Show, to be held on' Friday,' February 12, are coming to hand more freely than any previous year, and the prospects of the association's sixth annual gathering were never brighter. The beautiful showgrounds, some 18 acres in extent, which border the town, are looking at their very best just now, and a delightful picturesqueness has been added to their surroundings by the purchase by the people of the district of the beautiful piece of native bush, 11J acres, adjoining the grounds. This piece of bush has been prettily laid out, and is now a delightful spot for picnic parties. Intending exhibitors are assured by the committee that, every possible care will be taken of their stock. Accommodation paddocks will be provided, with a plentiful supply: of green fodder. Entries for .all classes, including the ram fair, close with the secretary (Mr. J. A. Walsh) on January 27. : The Matiriceville Dairy Company paid out £1300 toi suppliers for the December supply of butter-fat. The date for receiving entries' for the Feilding show has been extended to Friday, January 22. The ordinary rates will be charged ud to the extended date. Some exhibitors, it is stated, have probably confounded tho date of closing of entries with the date, for tho ram fair. Storekeepers in the country have often large accumulations of eggs" and butter, and they require'a live agent in Wanganui to sell for them. . The .Wanganui Fresh Food and Ice Coy, in Guyton Street, can handle thera to yoiw advantage, as we specialise in- dairy produce. We can buy large quantities of -ggs and sepaiatoi butter at Vthe present time, and we are result producers. Place jout .business with us at onoe.—Advt.

. ,The Richmond Oil Engine is. not sold on the sole evidence of an' elaborate giltedged Catalpguo. It appeals to you by reason of-its downright solidity—its simplicity of. working—ease of control, together with the endorsement of hundreds of users throughout tho New Zealand. Write for details. A. ,T. Parton, Plumbar, Carterton.—Advt.
