Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report haying held their wcokly stock sale in Dannovirkc on Friday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and a. small entry of cattltc. A total clearance of stock was made, competition being very keen for all classes of sheep. The firm topped the market of store lambs with a 'line of woolly lambs from Ngcpacrum on ac.count of Mr. Cotter, at 12s. 6d. Prices realised for four-tooth wethers, 195.; others, at 17s. 9d.; two-tooth wethers, 165.; email two-tooths, 12s. 7d.; mixed-sox two-tooths in Rood condition, 16e. Bd.; woolly rape lambs, 126. 6d.; medium S.D.-cross lambs, Bs.;. medium Romncy-croas lambs, Bs. 7d.; small ditto, ss. 6d. North, report having a fair entry of both' sheep and cattlo at their Pcilding sale on Friday. Competition was exceedingly keen for eheep, and all lines sold at prices highly satisfactory to vendors. Ltd., report:-At the Dannevirke sale held on Friday at the Millers Eoad Yards there was only a moderate yarding of both sheep and cattle. With the exception of young citUe prices all round were somewhat harder than at recent sales. Included in our entry was a good line of Hereford steers, which we offered on account of Mr. Robert Stevens, Tahoraiti. These we disposed of at the very satisfactory figure of £4 17. Fat cows were yarded in smaller numbers than at recent sales, the demand being much,in excess of the sup. ply, prices consequently being very high.
