s WAR EMERGENCY FUND. !. •> The war relief and emergency fund ■® which the Salvation Army authorities l_ are raising in connection with the relief of the Belginu refugees and to nsir sist General Booth in dealing with the a widespread distress caused by the war now amounts to £2858, leaving some £7000 still to be subscribed. The various Army corps are zealously helping forward the Commissioner's appeal. The j offorts of the cadets, lately in training, deserve speoial mention. The lads col- . leoted £32-12 a. 9d. from house to house and street collection, and the lassies by their efforts on "War Relief Saturday" and house-to-house calling, assisted in augmenting the total by £53 Bs.
