_« : STATEMENT BY MR. ALLEN. The Hon. James Allen, Minister of Defence, informed a Dominion reportei oil Saturday that His Excellency the Governor had received a record of the proceedings of the court-martial of F. E. N. Gaudin at Samoa. As a resuH of the perusal of the proceedings it appeared to be necessary to communicate with the Judge-Advocate-General, and with the Administrator at Samoa. No announcement further than this could be made for a few days. Full publicity would b'e given as soon as this was possible.
