Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Pahatua sale of January 5' m follows:—Wo offered a fair yarding of both flhocp and cattle. A satisfactory clearance was made atthe following prices: —Aged ewes and lambs (all counted), 7s. 6d.; dry owes, 13s. 9d.; email 2-tooths, Ss. to lis. 9d.; forward empty cows, £3, £4 153. to £5 183. 6d.; heifers and calves, £4 3s. 6d.; 18-months dairy heifers. £3 145.; yearline heifers, £2 12s. 6d.; yearling steers, £2 17s. to £3 16.; bulls, to £3 ss. Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull end Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in their Waipoua (Jtasterton) sale yards on Wednesday. There was a good entry of jjiieep and cattle. Competition at auction was keen for sheep, but cattle, were dull of salo: The following prices were realised :-Two and four-tooth wethers, 14s. 9d.; store ewes, lis. 10d.; cul lewes, ss. Id. to 6s. lOd.■ Cattle: Cowe and calves. £3 16s. to £5 18s.; forward store cowe, £4 13s. 6d.; two-year heifers, in calf. £2 Bs. 6d. to £3 125.; Jersey'bulls, £2 IDs- P'ss: Wcancrs, Us. 6d.
