The final results in connection with the Eastbourne school children's commendable effort are to hand. It will be remembered that these children unanimously decided amongst themselves to devote the wholo of tho proceeds of their prize fund in aid of the Belgian children. The movement was taken up .with great enthusiasm in conjunction With .the School Committee, Messrs. F. Ji Chittey Kelly, E.. Zohrab, C. Russell, Wright, B. Shortt, and R. A. Keenan (secretary). The sum realised is over, £25, and will no doubt increaso to £80. Considering the limitation of the district, and the small number of permanent residents in comparison with other school districts, the Eastbourne children deserve warm congratulation for .tho splendid zeal and energy displayed-in their campaign of charity. The sum of £25 has been handed over to His Worship the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke), and the secretary (Mr. Keenan) speedily hopes to augment this amount in a few days.
