: BIG KORERO AT AUCKLAND. In connection 'with the Dominion Bowling Association's tuomament, to be held at Auckland, commencing on January 11, it will interest local bowlers who intend to be present to know that the Concert Chamber of the Auckland Town Hall has been engaged for' the evening of January 13 for the pur-' poses' of a big "korero" on bowling matters generally. Two matters that are likely to evoke a lively discussion will be tie new test establishes by the' association, which some regard' as no better if as exact as the table test. Complaint is being, made that the charge made in Wellington for testing is excessive. It certainly is much more expensive to have one's bowls tested in Wellington than in, Auckland. Quite a number of bowlers would like to know why, seeing that the machine used in tho northern city is a facsimile of that in use in Wellington. The charges made for alterations resultant from the test are also said to be greater hers than in -Auckland. Again, why? .
