Mr. C. Tringham, of Pigeon Bush, will be laid lip for somo time as tho result of an accident. Whilo walking in tho garden of his residence-on Tuosday last, ho fell heavily and broke his right leg. It has been notified that Commander Reginald A. Norton, who was ono of tha survivors of the Hogue, has been appointed to tho cruiser Lancaster as flag commander to Roar-Admiral - Hornby. At the conclusion of his report to the Admiralty on the sinking of tho Hogue, Commander Norton wrote:—"J have iho lmtioiir to submit that I may he appointnuulli«r ship as boon m I cau get a tit."-
