The attendance was again satisfactory, and speculation was brisk. The sum ot wG12,G12 pawed through the totalisator, making lor tlid meeting, which Is .£62 less than for the days last year. ... Fourteen acceptors faced the tapes in :he Telegraph Hack Handicap, and Croelus, a. winiier on the previous day, qar•ied the bulk of the support. Powder Fox was quickest on his feet, and led i olosely-bunched field to the home turn 4 yhere he was attended by Intelligible, ihepherd's Bush, and tho favourite. The aet-named drew out inside the distance, ind gaJloping strongly, won easily by three engths from Shepnerd's Bush, with inelligible a length and a half away third, -ady Teazle was fourth, and was Mowed losely by Watchful and Miss Kelly. Rongoinau was the only withdrawal lom the Hack Hurdles, fourteen acoepors going to the post. In spite of his ion-succese hitherto puniters still rtuok o Aratiatia, sending him out a proiounoed favourite from Merry Guy and Stagnant. Merry Guy was the first to how out, and he led past the stand and o ithe six-furlong post frein Soultie and iratiatia. The latter took charge along, he back etretoh, and led to the distance, 'here WaiDunoa, came at him. All the acceptors (ten) faced the etartei n the Summer Handicap. Bewipoto earned three times as muoh support as the lecpnd favourite, Wild Lupin. Marshal Uacdonald was next in order. At the six-furlong post Victoria had run up into second place, and a little further »n Marshal Macdonald filled third place, just behind Victoris.- Th» order was thesameto the home'bend, where Rewipoto, Wild Lupin, and Stepney joined issue. At the distance Rewipoto was in. front, and he scrambled home by a neck from Victoris, why was a bare head in front of Stepney. Kimbombi was fourth, a head in front of Montana. ' •.....•

Janitor and H&umakaka carried the field along the back stretch to /the home turn, where the latter ,W8 done' with. \ Janitor, however, kept going, but at th« distance he sucoumbod to the placed horses, whilst Miss Trumps and Gold Scult also finished in frout of him in the order given. A field of 18 efcartere went out In the Haok Scurry, and Royal Mary was' the popular pick. Multiplication and Combustion were also well supported. Multiplication bogari very smartly, and led all the way, and though challenged by • Combustion inside the distance, managed to last long enough to win by a bare half length. Combustion was unlucky in the early stages of the journey, otherwise the Tesult would probably have been reversed. Jem was third a length away, and next in order came Need, Royal Mary, and Jean Laduo, a half-sietcr to Orleans. The final event of the day, the Highweight Handicap, was won easily by Square Deal, who took charge half a mile from home, and beat' Negative by a length and a half. PuTsefiller was olose up third, and was followed by Lady Nolan, Gezette, and Evadne. Sir Antrim wa9 prominent in the early stages, but faded jawayflve furlongs from,home.
