Legacies were received from the executors of Mr. BuUen (Kaikopra),-: £500 for Kriox College building fund; executors, of Mr. William Fraser" (Fairlie), £4097 for the orphanage-; executors of 'Mr. Merrick .(Cambridge), £150.t0r foreign missions, and £150 for. Maori mission in the Auckland district. - : .
Ono of the principal questions arising out of the report of the, ~Ch,urch Property Committee was as: the Fraser ben.uest.of £4000 for.the Auckland Orphanage. This was from the beginning a separate institution, and. not. now within the terms, of the.be> : quest. A motion was moved ,to alterthis and allow Auckland to participate., Ultimately it was resolved-..that the trustees ho empowered to take over the Leslie Orphanage on conditions, to bo, arranged to the satisfaction. of •. tho Presbytery and the trustees.
