THE WELLINGTON CLUB
The annual meeting of the Wellington Swimming Club Was held last evening. Mr. D. K. Blair presided. There was not a quorum present, but officers wore elected, and a meeting will be hold to confirm what has been done. -
The officers elected (provisionally), were:—President, Mr. D. K. , Blair s vice-presidents,.Mr. W. E. Jackson, and those elected last season; captain, Mr. R. J. Grimmett; deputy-captain, Mr. A. Russell; secretary, Mr. A. E. Ballard; treasurer. Mr. A. M, Farnall; auditor, Mr. E J. Cavill; starter, Mr. A. Jacobs; check-starter and' check time-keeper, Mr.' N. J, Edmunds jhandicapper, Mr. R. J. Grimmett; executive committee, Messrs, G. Neal, A. Russell, W, C. Collyer, N. J. Edmunds, and T.. Raynor; delegates to Centre, Mr. R. J. Grimmett.
It was decided that the official opening of the season should take place on Saturday, November .21, at To Aro Baths.
The financial position was not put before the meeting owing to the absence from Wellington of some of the offi-. cials. , •.
