JULIUS KNIGHT'S FAREWELL TOUR.
At Maeterton on, Monday, November .23,. Mr.-. Julius Knight, supported by Miss Irene Brown' and a company of over 70 specially "selected artists, will begin his farewell tour of the_ North Island, in, the famous Napoleonic military spectaoulur drama, "A Royal' Divorce.' 1 On November 24 Mr. Knight will present his brilliant 'characterisation of Napoleon to playgoers of Dannevirke,- and on November 26 he will begin a three nights' season at Napier in the same part, and the second night will be devoted to an important revival of "Monsieur Beaucaire," in which Mr. Knight will appear in the name : part, and on Friday "The Sign of the Cross" will be staged. On Sati urday, November 27, and Monday, November 30, "A Royal Divorce" and "Monsieur Beaucaire" will be staged at Palmerston North, and these dramas will be produced in Wanganui on Tuesday, December 1, ana December 2. "A Royal Divorce" will be staged on December 3 at New Plymouth. On Saturday, December 5, J 0. Williamson, Ltd., management will present Mr. Knight and company to playgoers of Auckland, where, during a season of twelve nights, "A Royal Divorce," "The Sign of the Ctross," "Monsieur Beaucaire," and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" will be- staged. Mr. Knight's -farowell. season in New Zealand will take place.at Wellington, .beginning on Saturday, December 26 (Boxing Night). The pieces chosen for his farowell tour are unquestionably the most successful in Julius {(night's vast repertoire, artd those in which he made his name a householdword throughout the length and breadth of Australasia. The present Christchurch Beason of Mr. Julius Knight is proving by far the most successful that kctor has as yet enjoyed in that city. The box plans will be opened in each town three days prior to the date of the opening night.
