October 28, 11.50 p.m.) Sydney, October 28. _ A. meeting of merchants in cargoes in German steamers sheltering iu Java and adjacent ports considered ■ that the Dutch Government- had power under tho clauses of the York'and Antverp niles to compel the masters io discharge the cargoes. Tho meeting resolved to obtain legal opinion as to whether an action in tho Dutch Courts is likel.v to provo successful; also to ascertain tho result of Nestle's and Anglo-Swiss Milk Compaq's action in the Dutch Courts.
