A! private cable message has been received reporting that Captain Walter Russell, of the Northamptonshire Regiment, the youngest son of tho late Sir William Russell, was killed m action in France on October 28. . Respecting the cabled news of the death at the front of Captain Walter Russell, it is interesting to recall that whilst serving in New Zealand the late Sir William.Russell (father of Captain Walter Russell) was a captain of the 58th Foot and the 14th Foot. . These regiments, on the reorganisation of the Army some years ago, became tho Northamptonshire ; and West Yorkshire Rogiments," which two of Sir William 6 soiiß respectively joined. The son that held a commission in the West lorkshires was killed in the South African War, -and tho ether, who held a cap-, tain's commission in tho Northamptonshires, has now also given his life for his country.-
