Carpenters were busy at ;the Trentham military camp at daylight-.yester-day erecting two cook-houses and other accessary temporary buildings to carry on tho business of war training. Premises 100 ft. by 20ft..are being built for the commissariat, arid a 'whole township of canvas has been established. The Post Office—a little wood and iron building standing near the road —looks altogether too small to. carry on the business likely to be transacted when the population of the camp has been increased to its full strength, but otherwise tho camp bears a very business-like appearance. ' : The first section of the reinforcements marched into the camp shortly after 10 a.m. yesterday. They '-were a small batch' of men, who had signed on in Palmerston North. Later a special train drew up at the Trentham siding and hundreds of men stepped out. They comprised reinforcements from. 'Auckland and intermediate stations, and another lot from various parts- of the South Island. Tho train from the Wairarapa district dropped still a further, lot of men for training. The majority of the reinforoements'_ were in mufti, not haying yot received their uniforms. Their physique has been tho subject of favourable comment. On arrival at camp tho work of putting things in good order was commenced. ' A definite course of training will bo entered upon next week. A party of men from tho West Coast arrived by the Arahura last night to attend the reinforcement camp
