BATTLE OF FLOWERS

ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE FETE.

Already about fifty motorcars have been enterod for the procession of decorated cars to be held in connection with the Battle of Flowors which Miss Johnston is organising in aid of the Belgian Fund. It is hoped that tho total entry cf cars will reach a hundred. Owners of motor-cycles, ■ with and without side-cars, aro also invited to enter their machines. The fote, which will bo on novel lines for Wellington, will be held in Newtown Park on Sat urday week, October 31. In the evening the park will be illuminated and thero will bo a -fireworks display. An interesting programme is being arranged, and in addition there will be numbers of side-shows for tho amusement of visitors. With favourable weatllior the event should provide sin enjoyable outing and result in a substantial contribution for a cause which has uclajtns on all Britishers.
