DISLODGED FROM A CAVE Paris, October 18. The French troops for several days ..were unsuccessful in an attempt to disledgo 1800 Germans hidden, in. a cave at Soissons. Eventually 1200 Algerian sharpshooters, with bayonets between their teeth, crawled io the trenches during the night and hurled themselves on the Germans. Only eight Germans escaped alive.
