ONSLOW BOROUGH

The ordinary meeting of the Onslow Borough Council was Lold laet night. There were present the Mayor (Mr. O. C Crump) aud Councillors B. Lynneberg, J. 0. Gardner, L. A Browne, Colm Monro, C. Bowden, Donald Munro, A. H. Hoby, and R. A. Nicol. . It was deoided to write to the Minister of Railways asking, that "a second petrol motor-car be put on tho Sunday suburban servico on tho Manawatu line. In rospect to the bequest of 30 plantation seats, tie., from the estate of the late Mr. John Newton, it was decided to gratefully'accept the bequest on tho conditions mentioned. Tho Reserves Committee were instructed to wake inquiries in regard to the matter, ond report at a later meeting. As the result of a complaint trom Mr. H L. James in reference to furious motor driving on tho Ngaio and Khandallah roads, it was decided to take stens to seo if such could not bo abated. The council went in to committee in respect to a letter from tho Minister of Railways regarding tho control of the new Hutt Road and also other matters. '
