HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

A couple of talented Italian accordion players, the Boudini Brothers, are givmg an exceptionally fine" musical turn at His Majesty's Theatre, Courteuay Plaoo, this week. They are masters or the instrument, and are well worth going to hear. Other artists appearing on tho programme are Brown and SorHβ (coloured comedians), the Miltons (roller skaters), the Great Wostin (protean artist), and others. THE KING'S THEATRE. Incidents in tho life of the Moxican revolutionary leader General Villa form the subject of the star film in tho attractive programmo screened at His tVlajesty's Theatre last evening. The itirring life-story has * grip from end to end, and last night's audience gave ample testimony of its appreciation of the film. Prominent among tho supporting films arc: "The Latest War News from Europe," "A Halt in the Jungle" (Pathe colour), and "Hubby's Surprise," which go to make up a particularly strong bill. To-morrow afternoon, at 2.30, a matinee performance will l>o gvien, when the full programme will bo produced. A complete change will bo given on Monday evening. EVERYBODY'S PICTURES. Thero is a very fine Vitagraph drama showing on the current programme of pictures at Everybody's Pictures, in the old Opora House, Manners Street. Tho ploture is entitled "Old Reliable," and unfolds a story that should carry its appeal to all. Other pictures on tho programme are "The Latest War Nowb from Europe," "Mack at it Again (Keystone, comedy), "On the Banks of tho Dahl/' and "The Missing Jewels. MACMAHON'S NEW THEATRE. The already strong bill at MacMahons New Theatre, Manners Street, was further strengthened yesterday by another new picture, "In the Heart ot a Jewess," a drama illustrating tho mo of a Russian Jewish woman who has emigrated to America. A realistio presentation of tho seamy side of life ui tho East of New York is given, ltio picture was produced with a vw to securing the utmost ieahty_, and the film grips from start to finish, giving scope for some particularly striking dramatic work. The story is acted by the best Jewish artists. Another film of special note-on the present bill is the war picture, "Men of the Momont," end tho supplementary pictures appear to be exactly to tho taste of the large number of patrons who daily ftock to "the New Theatre.

THE EMPRESS .' A change of programme was introduced at She Empress Theatre Continuous Pictures yesterday. The Aquila Company's "A Victim of Vengeance is a dramatic story of the a man named Brenville who rums Count Brian because the. latter had wronged him in years gone by. Brenville s son is in lovo with the-Count's daughter, and when tho Count is ruined financially tho younger Brenville, though broken-hearted, agrees that Ins father has acted properly. A sporting film ot exceptional merit, "Tho International Polo Match," shows tho most exciting episodes in the- big contest in_ which England recently defeated America. A capital story of stage life is toW in the Lubin drama "Granny." "Children of tho Tenements" deplete the juvenile denizens of the New York slums enjo.yin" their playtime. "BUNTY PULLS THE STRINGS." At tho Grand Opera House, on Saturday evening,. October 24, Air. E. J. Carroll, by α-rraugement with J. C. Williamson, Ltd v will present the distinguished Scottish (ictor-author, Mr. Graham Molfat and a company of Scottish players in the world-famous comedy "Bunfcy Pulla tho Strings."' "Bunty" made its first appearance in New Zealand on Monday last in Auckland, aud was accorded a warm welcome by both Press aud public. "One of the secrets' of the success of tho comedy," says one critic, "is that, diverting as it undoubtedly is, it is very human, completely natural, utterly.untheatrical. Depicting as it docs scones in a rural portion of Scotland of hfty years or so ago. tho piece gains an additional charm m the qnaintness of its atmosphere. Mr. Walter Kirby will bo assisted by Jliss Frances Barry, Miss ■Kileon Dniscoll, Miss Mona Moore, Mr. F G Bourke, Dr. Norman Hnlcs, and Si'guor A. P. 'Inula. Mrs. E. H.
