.' i ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the. Port Nicholson Yacht Club the balance-sheet showed that the financial position of the club is very satisfactory, and that the club's prospects for the coming season are promising. Tho following officers were appointed for the ensuing year: — Patron, His, Excellency Lord Liverpool; I president, His Worship the Mayor, Mr. J. P. Luke (re-elected); vice-presidents, Hon. F. M. B. Fisher, M.P., Dr. Fell; Captain Post, Captain Johnson, Messrs. D. Howard, J. B. Speed, R. Fletcher, Geo. Mee, W. A. Atkinson, Auckland, and.'D. Keir (all re-elected); Commodore, Mr. -G. F. Bothamley; vice-com-modore, Mr. F. Cooke; rear-commodore,. Mr. A. Lancaster; the three flag officers were rc-relected; handicapper, Mr. R. Millman: treasurer, Mr. J. A. Hardio; racing secretary, Mr. J. M'Lean, junr.; auditors, .Mr. C. J. Ward and Captain Watchlin; secretary, Mr. T. 0. Lam•bie; committee, Messrs. P. Mooro, S. Rough, It. Millman, R. Aslin, H. Chisholm, and J. M'Lean. A hearty vote of thanks was pasod to tho retiring officers for their services during the pass year.
