WELLINGTON. CLUB. The Wellington Golf Club is this year instituting a provincial championship meeting "for ladies. The inaugural meeting is to bo held on October 19 to 23; entries close on AA'ednesday, October 14. The links aro noiv in perfect order, and it only needs a generous response from golfers to ensure a.successful meeting. In addition to golf, there will bo tennis matches. The gathering is timed to commence immediately on the conclusion of tho New Zealand Championship Meeting, to bo held at Dunedin. Programmes are now in the hands of club secretaries, and any further information may be obtained from the lady secretary of tho Wellington Golf Club.Tho following team, will represent the Wellington Club in the annual match against tho Miramar Club af Herotaunga to-day:—A. D. S. Duncan, H. ,11.-H. Balneavis, K.-D. Duncan, L. C. Hales, A. F. Roberts, W. B. Lees, R. W. Kirkby, A; S. MacShane, A. E. AVhyte, G. H. Fell, J. C. Crawford, F. G. Dalziell, G. Pearce, AV. E. The play-off of the tio in connection with the Karori Golf Club's.foursomes has been postponed on account of the military sports to b3 held this afternoon.
