SAILORS FRIEND SOCIETY
There was a large audience at the Sailors' Friend Society Institute last evening,. when Miss N. Boyd provided an enjoyable concert. . Mr. James Moore, Missioner, occupied the chair. The following contributed vocal and elocutionary items: —Mrs. Claridge, Misses Jones, Wilson, T.Aitken, Cunningham, Jansen, Messrs. Jenkins, N. Artken, and Church. Miss Mackie played the accompaniments. An amusing conundrum competition was won by Mr. Delaney (s.s. Karamea). The hostess and performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion of the conr cert ,and light refreshments 'were afterwards dispensed. ■ , ,
