HUTT & PETONE NEWS.
■ O : — (From Our Own Correspond«nte.) There was a large attendance at the Petono Roman Catholic Schoolroom last ovening, where a euchre party and dance was held. Mr. H. Tancred was M.C., and the pianists were Mrs. S. Brice and Miss Q. M'Arthur. Messrs. E and T. Walsh were controllers oftables, and a pleaeant evening was spent. At the Lower Hutt Town Hall Arcade last evening a reunion of. the Hutt Friendly Societies waß' ;! he'ldj"takirig ! the form of a card party and dance. Representatives of the Oddfellows, Druids, Foresters, and Hibernians were present, and an enjoyable evening was spent. Mr. P. M'Grath acted ae M.O. Mr. F. Piloher was pianist, ; and Mr. A. Zambra controlled the card-tables. During the evening musical items were delivered by the Misses Mitten, and Messrs. Westbury and Zambra. The Petone Ladies' Social Committee held an enjoyable social last evening. There was a fair attendance, Mr. D. Fraser acting as M.C., and Mrs. Fraser supplying the musio.
