ANNUAL MEETING OP WELLING- \ ■ TON ASSOCIATION. The annual'meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last evening. D/. A. K. Newman, M.P., presided.' ■ The report and balance-sheet (already published) were adopted ' Officers were elected as follow :— Patron, His Excellency the .Governor; president, Hon, H. D. Bell, M.L.0.; vice-presidents, Hon. F. M. B. Fislier, M.P., Dr. A. K. Newman, M.P., Dr. Ross, Professor Anderson, Messrs. J. P. Firth, E. P. Bunny, W. E. Bethune,' and R.- A. Wright; vice-president to N.Z. Cricket; Council, Hon. H. D. 8011, M.L.C.; delegates to N.Z. Cricket Council, Sjr Cecil Moon and Mr. J. Fanning; management committee, Messrs. C. G. Wilson (chairman), M. J. Crombie, F. A. Midlane, J. Fanning, M. C. Mason, .W.iS. Brice, H. Burton, A. E. Wilson;, bori. secretary, Mr. E. M. Beechey; hon. treasurer, Mr. F. M. Martin; hon. auditor, Mr. C. E. Stevens. ■ ■'..', Among new rules adopted was the following, governing the system of allocating championship points:—"Two Saturdays shall be allowed for senior and junior championship matches, and one Saturday for third-class matches. For a win outright, three points shall bo scored, a win on the first innings two points, a tie on the two innings 1} points, &i tie on the .first .innings one point each. For a loss outright three points shall be deducted, and for a loss on the first innings two points." This system is in accord with the English and tie New South AVales systems.
