' JOHNSON VILLE CLUB. The annual meeting of the above club was held at Johnsonville on Wednesday last. Mr. A. .Moore presided. There wa<! a good rtteiidance of members present. Among the officers elected for the ensuing year were: Mr. J. P. Luke, patron (re-elected); Mr. F.' T. Moore, president (re-elected);'and Mr. W. Mills, secretary and treasurer.. The secretary's (Mr. F. Bethune) resignation-, was, accepted with regret. As he has held this position since the foun- . dation of tho club .somo 12 or 13 years ago; it. was unanimously resolved that ho be elected a life member of the club Br a email token of esteem for his past services. The ladios kindly consented to make .tho necessary arrangements for afternoon tea. The roport and balancesheet shows the club to;be in a satisfactory v .-,..;.^ ; ; : This afternoon at 3 o'clock the season will be opened at.the Wellington Tennis Club courts. . On Monday a Yankee Combined tournament will bo held.
