HARBOUR BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board was held last night. There were present: Messrs. R. Fletcher (chairman), C. W. Jones, H. L. Nathan, J. G. J. Trevor, J. W. M'Ewen, J. E. Cobbe, A. D. Kennedy, C, E. Daniell, 11. A.' Wright, A. H. Hindmarsh, and Captain. Watson. Payments for acconnts' and wages, £15,440 Bs.; progress payments on contracts, £1646 7s. 7d.; and salaries for September, £915 3s. 6d. wore passed. Bank pass-books showed: Current aocoiint, credit balance, £11,998 13s. 5d.; lijiprest account, credit balance, £1163 4s. 6d;; oir fixed deposit, £70,000.
