Notwithstanding the time of stress we are passing through, the committee of tlio Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association has courageously undertaken tho task, of keeping the show flag flying, holding that'the present is no time to exhibit any of those signs of distress which may be forced on the, community at large dwing to the war. 'i'his year's event is timed to eyentuate on November 4, 5, and 6 next, and cjrcumstances permitting, it is to equal its predecessors. The show is so well known and so popular that little need bo said about it, but wo understand radical alterations have been made in uthe programme of, eypnts.. ..Since ths executive fiWt Uj clgc'idcd l "to'hold I '.-i : three-days' show, there has been little to interest the ordinary visitor,on. the first day, and. tWsi is to be remedied by .'the provision of a full, list of ring events on- that dajv .'.For breeders tho medals and trophies—there is as usual a lengthy list of them, amongst others being the Ayrshire Breeders' and North Island Sheepbreeders' Associations' champion medals.
