Cooper, S.M;,' yesterday afternoon on the body of the unknown child which was ■ found at Houghton Bay on September' 2 last. ■ Evidence was given by Dr. Fyffe that the child was between 5 and 6 months old. ■~.■ : ■■ ■ ■ The Coroner returned a verdict that the: body was that of a still-born unknown child. . ■ ' .-. }. t ± SEAMAN A seaman 'named Galanders, 27 years of age, and employed on the Pukaki, was admitted to the Hospital last night Buffering from concussion of the spine; ; The rcan was injured in falling down' the ship's- hold. ' A BROKEN LEG.. x _A single man named Andrew Davison, 35 years of age,- was admitted to the Hospital last night suffering from a broken leg. The injured man, who Uvea at Marion, is a fitter by.trade, and it is believed that he works' in the Railway Department. It is not known how the accident occurred. : SUICIDE AT TIMARTJ. (By Telegraph;—Picss Associat.lon.) : : Tlmaru, September 18. A farm labourer named Thos. Carson, 39, who had developed some form of insanity on an up-country_ farm, and' was brought to town by his wife for examination, slipped out from the house on Thureday night and was found this morning dying with his throat cut, in t gravel pit. At the inquest a verdict was returned of suicide while of unsound mind.
