TREASURE HUNT THIS AFTERNOON.
,A]l arrangements are now complete for this attractive function in aid of tho Patriotic Fund, and if weather conditions remain as favourable as. they promise, the popular Lyall Bay beach should ..present a gay scone this afternoon, enlivened by all. the fun of tho Treasure Hunt, which is suro to appeal strongly to people of all ages and all classes, for there are a great number of valuablo prizes to reward tho skill and energy of competitors. On arriving at the bay, the first thing to do is to purchase a. shilling ticket of admission. . Every shilling so spent goes to swell the Patriotic Fund, and build up the Empire's strength in this hour or great need. These tickets i admit their holders to the enclosure whore tho prizes are hidden in the eand ready to reward the energy and skill of competitors. The regulation spades will be on sale in the enclosure at the nominal prioo of 3d. each. The prize vouchers are to«be enclosed in Royal Standard tobacco tins, and successful diggers must present these vouchers at £ o'clock to the secretary, who will be in attendance to deliver the prizes allotted to the numbors on the respective vouchers. Afternoon tea will be available, and everything points to a really delightful afternoon of healthy exercise—abounding fun and laughter amidst tho most pleasant surroundings.
