A first-edition copy of Scott's "Waverley" was sold for £200 at Sotheby's. A copy of Shelley's "Address to the Irish People," published in Dublin in 1812, realised £140. A first edition of Shelley's "Queen Mab" sold for £120, •and a fine copy of "Gulliver's Travels" in two volumes, dated 1726, was purchased by Mr. Smith, of-' New York', for £250.
