MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD. • _ At last night's meeting of the Wel--1 liugton Harbour' Board there were sent: The chairman (Ma\ R. Fletcher),' Messrs. C. W. Jones, J. G. Harkness, R. A. Wright, J. W. M'Ewan, ,J. I.Cpbbe, M. Cohen, C. E. Daniell," A'.: D. Kennedy, A. H. Hindmarsh, and Captain D. J. Watson. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs. H. L. Nathan and J. Trevor. The bank pass, books showed that 1 there was a credit balance'of £9565 17s. lOd. to, current account, and' a [oredit balance of £216 14s. 7d. to imprest account. There was a sum of £80,000 on fixed deposit. Tho payments for the month, amounted to £17,648 7s.' Id. The chairman reported that the Harbours Amendment Bill had passed both Houses of Parliament, but he regretted to say that" one or two matters of vital importance to Harbour Boards had been omitted from the Bill, and his own opinion was that, for all tho | good the Bill would accomplish it would have been >just as well if no amending Bill had been promoted. On the recommendation .; of the Wharves and Accounts Committee it was decided to grant the application of .the Wellington Model Yacht Club for a site at Evans Bay for a boat shed and to issue foreshore license and affix the seal of the hoard thereto, subject to the approval of the plans by the Marine Department. It was also decided to instruct tho engineer to preparo working plans for the extension of the Wool Wharf and' shed L for accommodation of Wolling-ton-Lyttelton ferry steamers; and to call for tenders for the prosecution of the work.
