ANNUAL MEETING. . The twenty-sixth annual meeting of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts was held in tho Art Gallery last, night. The president (Mr. H. M. Gore) was in tli'e v oiiair, and there was a large atteridahed of-members. In moving- the adoption of the annual report drid balance-sheet, the chairman congratulated the society on the successful year just concluded, and the increase in membership. When war. had been declared, however, tho council had unanimously decided-not to claim this grant until the war -was over.
