The Servians forced an entire division into a valley, and their artillery massacred the Austrians from the surrounding heights. . AUSTRIANS RETIRE IN DISORDER. . GREAT ELATION IN SERVIA. (Rec. August 24, 10.25 p.m.) London, August 24, morning. l Nish official report states that three Servian Army Corps of a -hundred thousand men under the command of General I'otiofek crossed the River Drina and took up a position in a triangle bounded by Loznitza, Shabtitis, and Mount Tzor. . The battle began on the banks of the Jadar, near its junction with the Drina. Several Servian regiments by bayonet charges and supported by Cr'nozot guns turned the Austrians' right flank.
