NAVAL OPERATIONS.
AUSTRIAN CRUISER SUNK FIGHT WITH TORPEDO BOATS (Rec. August 24, 8.10 p.m.) Rome, August 24. The "Corriee della Sera" publishes details of the sinking on August 18 or 19 of the Austrian cruiser Zeuta, ic vessel of 2300 tons displacement,-* carrying eight 4.7 in. guns, with a. complement of seventeen officers-and 285 men. ~ Torpedo boats sighted the Zeuta, and three smaller vessels, on blockade duty off Cattaro, !n .the Adriatic. They opened fire, and tore holes in the Zeuta*s sides. The Zeuta replied at long intervals, her shots going wide of the mark. The Austrian torpedoers fired upon an English torpedoer. ANOTHER CRUISER INTERNED. AUSTRIAN VESSEL DISARMED' IN FAR, EAST. (Rec. August 24, 9.45 p.m). V London,' August 24, morning. The Austrian Government has ordered the Austrian cruiser Kaiserin Elizabeth, now lying at Kiao-chau, to" disarm. The crew have gone to Tientsin. The Kaiserin Elizabeth is a secondclass cruiser of 4000 tons, carrying two 9.4 in., six 6.9 in., thirteen I.Bm. guns, and a crew of 418 men. >
