DUNEDIN SESSIONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.). Dunedin, August 10. At tho criminal sittings the. first prisoner for trial was. Alexander JohhiM'Lcod Matheson, who was charged with indt-' e'ently assoulting tivo little girls. •'■ He was found not guilty; and was'discharged. William Spriggins, aged 25, who pleaded guilty in tho Lower Court to theft, was ' sentenced to six months' imprisonment, and was declared an habitual criminal. N. Aitken, alias Smith, alias John Griffiths (aged .25), who pleaded guilty to false pretences, was sentenoed to one year's imprisonment, and was ordered to bo detained for reformative treatment for not more than three years. .':'.,'■ David Boyd Muir was indicted for indecency, and this case was in progress when the Court rose.
