SETTLED BY CONCILIATION. The Wellington Brewery Employees' dispute was settled in the Council of Conciliation on Saturday morning, except that the question of the period for which the award should continue is to be left to the Arbitration Court to decide.' At a sitting of the Council of Conciliation, concerning the Engineers' demands, on Friday evening, it was'agreed to recommend that those employers cited whose businesses were not substantially concerned in the engineering industry, should be struck off, and as a result-their names will not appear upon the list again. It was decided also that as similar disputes existed in other parts of the Dominion and no agreement had been arrived at in any of them, the council could not see its way to make any suggestions in the way of settlement. ' I The dispute will now go before the I Court tit Arbitration. ;
