Tho Countess of Ranfurly, wife- of an ex-Governor for New Zealand, has gone to iNorthland Housed County Tyrone . Mrs. A. E. Quick, of Wellington, who is accompanied by her daughter/ Miss Quick, has just arrived in London. Mr. Jolin Heslop, of Eltham, intonds to visit Scotland, Ireland, and the Continent before returning to New Zealand. Mr. and Mrs. David Gillies, of Auckland, expect to spend some time in linglaad. Later on they will visit Scotland and tho Continent. ■ Tho Countess of Seafield- (formerly Miss Townend, of Christchurch), has arrived at 1 Elystan Mansions, Chelsea, tor a> few weeks. Mr and Mrs. A. E. Harris, of Christenurch, after a month in England, go to Ireland, Scotland, the United States, and Canada, returning to New Zealand irom Vancouver. Mr. and Mrs. W: L. Rutledge, of wsborno, will stay in London a couplo of months before motoring through different parts of England. They return to New Zealand via France and Italy. Mr. and Mrs. James K. Martin, of Auckland, are spending a month in London, and will tour the Continent for three months,' before visiting various parts of England and Scotland. Sir. and Mrs. K. 0. Niuniau, of Auckland, left last week on a two months' tour.of.the Continent. They will visit Scotland before returning to New Zealand in September. ' Lieutenant-Colonel and Miss Beech, with Onslow who has just returned from Now Zealand, havo arrived at,7l Cadogan Square for. the remainder of the season. Mr and Mrs. C. C. Cook, of Invercargill, are shortly going on a visit to relatives in Scotland, and afterwards will go from London and cross to Italy before joining their boat at Marseilles. Mr. C. G. Staveley, of Wairarapa, lias gone to Ireland on a visit to relatives, and friends. Ho vieited Japan on his way to England, and returns to New Zealand at the end of the year,' via America. Mr. and Mrs. J. Frith Roberts, of Christchurch, and their daughter spent a month in Plymouth before going on to Salisbury. They are now staying at Stamford Hill, 'and will be here for about three years. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Mason, of Otago, intend touring England, "Scotland and Ireland before returning to London. They then go over to New York to see their son there, and leave for home from Vancouver. The Hon. George;Fowlde and .Miss May Fowlds are at present motoring through the English Lake District and Scotland, where they will spend most .of June. A few days ago Mr. Fowlds gave a lantern lecture at Louth, on . New Zealand. -' Mr. Herbert Smith, of Hamilton, who is at present in London, •. contemplates taking a. trip. ! to the Continent m August,', and will- later on do some came ehooting in Scotland. Preece. of Auckland, who ia accompanied by Miss Giffen, of Napier, visited Chicago, Niagara, and New York, en route to London. They, leave on their return to New Zealand, via America, in October. Mr. anclMre; A. P. Webster, of Wellington, visited the south of. France, en route for London.. They have just returned from a visit to Edinburgh, where they attended the assemblies of the V. F. Church, and the-Church of Scotland. Tin's month Mrs. Webster goes to the World's Y.W.C.A. Conference at Stockholm, as a New Zealand delegate. ' Mr. Andrew King, of Corommidel. is on a four months' visit to Scotland, after an absence of sixty years. Later on he intends, goins; to the .Continent, and then contemplates a trip to America, where ho will stay at New ..York, Niagara and ■ Kansas with friends, embarking at San Francisco for New Zealand. .-Although. Mr;. King is in his oiehtieth year he writes that the comforts of travelling .have made him feel glad that he has ventured from home.
