NEW PATENT SLIP PROJECT. "I think they want speeding up," said tho chairman of tlio Harbour Board. '(Mr. E. Fletcher) at the meeting last night when a letter from tho Patent Slip , Company was road. About two years ago the company were directed in terms of their charter to erect a second smaller slip, but it has not yet been laid down. In fact, no visible work towards tho building of the new Slip has been done. The 'fitter above referred to was in replv to a request from the board to bo supplied by the- company with plans and borings for the now Slip.
