NEW PLYMOUTH-PALMER STON . TRAIN. (By Telosrraph.—Special Correspondent.) . > '. Palmerston, June 4. Two mail. bags vanished from the train between Wanganui and Palmerston last Saturday. One was a Halcombe bag,' containing valuable contents for Palmerston. Tho other was missed between Wanganui and Turakina, the Halcombe, bag being missing when Palmerston was reached. Their disappearance is being investigated by the- police, hut meanwhile it is uncertain whether they were lost or stolon.
