THE .WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION, A meeting of the committee of the Wellington Hockey Association was he|d last evening. Members •of the committee present were-: Messrs. C. N. Cathie (in the chair), C. Mr. Jackson moved ah amendment that the application bo granted, providod that tho money (£l2 10s.), together with last season's arrears, ,bo paid before July 1. If the money were not paid by July 1, the amount bo raised to £15. After some discussion, the amendment was put and lost. Mr. Bennett's motion was carried. Intimation was received from the Now Zealand Hockey Association to tho effect that in response to the Wellington Association's application that the Wednesday Association bo allowed to ontor for the Nordon Cup, tho committee had resolved that such permission could not bo given, and the writers outlined tho reasons. New Zealand Sports Protection League, bringing, the objects of. the league under notice, nnd asking consideration of tho question of becoming affiliated.—Received. In regard to the second nnmial six-a-side tournament of the Wednesday Hockev Association, the secretary (Mr. Jnckson) made' application to charge ndmission to tho Karori Ground.— Granted. It was decided to ask tho Auckland Hockey Association to suegost a date lor tho shield match with Wellington. On account of the compulsory parades to-day and. next Saturday, - it was decided to play no third-class fixtures on. tliesn dates. It was decided to play off the s<Miii(innl of tho seren-n-siile tourney on Raturdav next at 2.30 n.m., and tho final on tho Saturday following. Mr. Jackson suggested that' an effort be made to start n siib-nasocintinn competition nmong clubs in tlm North Tsland. nnd ho moved accordingly.— The motion was carried.
