Relief to waterside workers at Dimedin and Port Chalmers absorbed £1029 'lf)s. 6d.; relief to seamen, £101 lis. Gd.; relief to others, £G6 Gs. Gd. Sundry small payments brought the expenditure up to £1224 is. Id., leaving n balanco of £8 16s. 2Jd.
