Fifteen thousand picked troops from various points aro concentrating on the Whito Wolves, who captured and looted Kionchow, killing and wounding many of tho inhabitants. The bandits displayed appalling cruolty in several of the towns. The White Wolves, on April 14; captured and looted San-vuan-Hsien, in the Shenshi province. Tho troops pursued and severely defeated them on April 15, killing and wounding two thousand.
