0 EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT PROMISED. The Hon. Ja3. Allen (Minister of Financo), who is to doliver a speecli at Milton on April 10, hopes on that occasion to make ail announcement as to the approximate iinnncinl position of tho Dominion at tho end of tho liancial year which has just closed. "Tho evil prognostications of our political opponents will all bo discounted, anyway," remarked tho Minister, when tho subject of tho national finances was mentioned to him yesterday. "I am sorry that thero arc men, even political opponents, who would liko to see the year turn out not quite so well, because- they might get a political advantage out of it, but 1 iiopo that they will be very agreeably, disappointed."
