TRAGEDY AT CHRISTCHURCH
' *— WOMAN'S SHOCKING DEATH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ' _ Christchurch, April 9. The police received information today that a lromin named Hendolina Hcapy, living at West Oxford, died at 7 o'clock this morning under circumstances which they consider appear to call for some inquiry. It seoms that Dr. Bagley was called in on Wednesday night by a man named J. Urick, with- whom_ tho woman was living. She was then in a dying stato. She was in a very dirty condition, and there wero blood stains on her nlothing. Thoro_ wero Targe bruises on her face and jaw and her tonguo was bitten through and her mouth was full of blood. Tho woman was quite insensible ,and died at 7 o'clock this lhorning. She suffered from epilepsy.
