Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Limited, Teport tawing held their sale at Pahiatua on Tuesday, when there was a fair yarding of stock, which met with keen competition. They report practically a total clearance at tho following prices:—Sheep: Two-tooth ewes, 165.; four and five-year ewes, 16a; mixed-aged owes, 14s. lid.; live-year ewes, lis. Messrs. Dalgety aud Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly eoJo at Taihape on Wednesday, when a'heavy yarding of oheep and a fair yarding of cattle came forward. All lines submitted mot with ready sale, at prices satisfactory to vendors. The market was firm, with a tendency in sellers - favour. The New Zealand Loan and ITcrcantile Agency Company, Ltd., Levin, report:—At our Upper Hutt sale on Thursday we had a. very good yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep were In good demand, and oold freely, wethers especially being sought for. Cattle were rather dull of sale, and with the exception of steers met with a slow sale We quote :—Small woolly lambs, 7s. 9d.; forward lambs, to Us. 3d.; two-tooth wethera. 175.; aged rams. 7s.- 6d.; store cows, £3; empty cows, £4 65.; fat cowe, £6 Bs.; twenty-month stceiis, £4 Bs. 6d.; heifers in calf, £5 165.; springing Holstcin heifers, £8; Ayrshire do., to £8 55.; others, to £8 10s.

Turnbull and Co., Ltd.. report having held their weekly ealo in their Waipoua, (llaeteTton) sale yards on Wednesday, when they offered a very hc*« y yarding of sheep and cattle, well in excess of advertised numbers. Competition was exceptionally keen throughout, consequently there was a good clearance at prices rteht up to late rates. Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report:—We held our monthly sale at Otaki on Tuesday last, when we yarded good entries of both sheep and cattle. Sheep were in fair demand, and we managed to qiiiit all lines at satisfactory prices. Cattle, however, met with a very dragging sale, and but few lots changed hands. Prices realised were as follow:—F.M. breeding ewes, lls t 6d.- to. 135.; low-conditioned ewes, 95.; store ewes. ss. 9d.; mixed-aged ewes, 15s. 3d.; mixed 'two-tooths (small), 13s. 3d.; small lambs, 4s. 6d. to 6s. Id.; mixed woaners, 21e.; weaner £1 10s.; springing cows,'up to £7 10s.; bullß, up to £6 ss.
